This policy concerns all handling, processing and registration of personal data which is collected and processed via our website: www.visitsonderjylland.dk, our chatbot, our facebook page: www.facebook.com/visitsonderjylland, newsletters, visitor satisfaction surveys, competitions, questionnaires, SMS services, analysis programs and other similar systems that are used to serve and communicate with our customers, guests and others who are in contact with Foreningen Destination Sønderjylland.

The aim of this privacy policy is to inform you of how Foreningen Destination Sønderjylland handles and processes the personal data that you submit to us or which we have collected in connection with the purposes described in more detail in section 2.

We take protection of your personal data very seriously and endeavour to have the greatest possible transparency with regard to collection and processing of your personal data. When we process personal data that concerns you, you have the right to know which information we are processing and for what purpose.

We collect and use personal data when you fill out a form on our website, when you chat with us via our Chatbot, and when you purchase products or services from us.

Personal data is used to deliver the service in connection with which the information is collected. The information is used, moreover, in order to gain greater knowledge of our customers and other stakeholders, amongst other things with a view to targeting our marketing towards specific customers and stakeholders.

In connection with handling and processing of personal data, we use selected external data processors with which we have concluded data processing agreements, and which process data solely according to our specifications and instructions.

In order to ensure that you enjoy the best experience when you visit our website, receive newsletters from us, take part in competitions or otherwise when getting in contact with us, our data processors handle your personal data to the extent that is necessary to ensure that you enjoy the best experience with us. Our data processors do not handle particularly sensitive personal data, as we do not collect such data.

 

3. Which data is collected and for what purpose

When you visit our website, www.visitsonderjylland.com, we gather information about how you use the website, including which type of browser you use, which search themes you use, your IP address, your network location, technical data on your IT equipment and your browser behaviour, as well as other information about your computer. We acquire this information by means of cookies and other similar technologies. You can read more about our use of cookies in our cookie policy, which can be found at the foot of our website. In addition, we use Google analytics to enhance your experience on our site.

When you visit our website and make use of the services you can access from there, we process the following personal data on and about you: Name, phone number, email, address, company name, position and information about your purchases/ordering of brochure material from us.

 

4. How long do we store personal data

We store and process your personal data within the period of time permitted pursuant to applicable legislation, and we delete this data when it is no longer necessary. The actual period of time depends on the nature of the information and the background for storing it. It is therefore not possible to specify a general time frame as to when the information will be deleted. As a point of departure, we delete your personal data after 6 months following the end of your stay.

As you are registered, you have the right at any time to an insight into which personal data we have registered on and about you. If you discover that we have registered incorrect data about you, or you wish to exercise your right to be forgotten, you also need to contact us by mail: info@dssj.dk.

 

6. Newsletters, competitions, ordering of brochures, etc.

Signing up to receive our newsletter, participation in competitions, use of our chat function, ordering of brochure material and all other instances where you actively choose to enter your personal data are all entirely voluntary. We only collect non-sensitive personal data that does not require your explicit consent. When you enter your personal data via our website, you also accept that we process your information in accordance with this privacy policy.

If you have signed up for our newsletter, you can always cancel at any time and request that your personal data be deleted.

7. Appropriate technical and organisational precautions

We have taken technical and organisational precautions to ensure that your information is not inadvertently or unlawfully deleted, disclosed, lost, impaired or comes to the attention of unauthorized parties, is misused or otherwise handled in breach of legislation.

We have entered into data processing agreements with the data processors that process personal data on our behalf and according to our instructions. You have the right to know which personal data we process about you. Furthermore, you can take exception to information being used. You can also withdraw your consent permitting information about you to be processed. If the information that is processed concerning you is incorrect, you have the right to demand that this data be rectified or deleted.
