Angling in fresh-, brackish waters and P&T

Vicious pikes and greedy perch await you in lakes, moors, and brackish water, or catch a trout in a Put & Take lake.

On the island of Als, you have the opportunity to fish in lakes and brackish areas, as well as at the Put and Take Egen Mølle Fiskesø. Additionally, you will find lakes on the mainland near Gråsten, where you can fish with a valid state fishing license, and one of them has handicap-friendly access.

Some of the lakes on the island of Als have been restored after many years of drainage; one of them is Bundsø, where fishing is not yet permitted. The fishing rights for some waters may also be subject to the local fishing association, so if you frequently visit the area, a membership can provide access to multiple fishing waters and be economically advantageous

Fishing card

When you want to fish in lakes, brackish areas, and the area's fishing parks (Put and Take), it requires a fishing card or membership in a sports fishing club - this applies to everyone regardless of age.

To fish in lakes and brackish areas connected to the sea, you also need the state fishing license - this applies to everyone aged 18 through the official retirement age in Denmark.
