Drejby Strand Camping
Drejby Strand Camping is situated at the southernmost tip of the island of Als – at the point where a narrow causeway runs out to the Kegnæs peninsula.
Drejby Strand Camping is located right at the water’s edge and boasts a sandy beach some 500 metres long. The beach faces out onto the Baltic Sea, where the water is relatively shallow and thus ideal for children.
The water between Als and Kegnæs is calm close to the causeway, and is thus perfect for outdoor activities. You can, for example, learn to surf here, confident in the knowledge you won’t be out of your depth. Other coastal pursuits include bathing, walking along the coast and fishing. You can sail out into the surrounding sea, where you can catch cod, flatfish and sea trout.
During the high season, the campsite itself offers a number of activities for young and old alike. The campsite has an outdoor water park with a heated pool and large water chute, as well as a paddling pool and water slide for the youngest members of the family. Aerobics and water gymnastics are also on the activity programme.
There are two play areas – a playground for the youngest and a larger facility with sports pitch and multi-purpose sports court, as well as a jumping pillow for older children.
And if it happens to be wet and rainy, there’s also an indoor play centre for young children.
Drejby Strand Camping, which has four stars, has excellent, modern service facilities for adults and children. Dogs are very welcome – and there’s also a separate dog bath.
