You can walk on the beautiful promenade deck stretching along the inlet, Als Sund, and admire the building’s architecture as well as the Alssund Pavilion sculpture by Olafur Eliasson.
Inside, you can see the spectacular wall decoration by Olafur Eliasson, which is located by the concert hall.
The Alsion Concert Hall is the home stage for the orchestra, Sønderjyllands Symfoniorkester, which offers a wealth of beautiful symphonic classics, but the concert hall programme offers everything from stand-up shows to theatre, opera and ballet performances - combine your visit with a culinary experience in Café Alsion.
The building, which was inaugurated on 30 October 2007 by H.M. Queen Margrethe I, was designed by the architectural firm 3XNielsen and consists of 10 square buildings with glass facades, which together provide a total area of 28,428 square metres. An additional building of 3,200 square metres has since been added, which was inaugurated on 3 October 2019 and houses the Center for Industriel Elektronik.
