Mjels Sø - a walking tour
The hike back and forth along the lake, Mjels Sø takes you 4.5 km along a light and level terrain.
After being dewatered since the 19th century, the pumps were stopped in 2005 and thus the water was allowed to refill the very long and narrow tunnel valley, which in its time was formed by a glacier during the ice age.
The lake, Mjels Sø is today a beautiful example of recreated nature and offers a rich and varied bird life. Where, in addition to seeing ducks, partridges and geese, there is also a good chance that the white-tailed eagle will pass by in search of food.
Under Download you will find the brochure for the hike at Mjels Sø.
