For example, did you know that there is a tradition in Southern Jutland of waking up Father Christmas? This often takes place in connection with the lighting of the Christmas tree, a Christmas market or something similar, whereby the children shout at Father Christmas to wake him up after sleeping for such a long time.

The Advent season in Southern Jutland is full of good cheer and festive activities. In November and December, there are plenty of Christmas markets, concerts, activities for children and lots more. Mulled wine is part of the festive season, and there are many great places to enjoy this warm Christmas tradition. Kislings in Sønderborg, Det Lille Madhus in Aabenraa and Norlyk Distillery in Tønder are just some places offering mulled wine.
